Myrrh resin is obtained from the genus Commiphora tree.  Myrrh, Frankincense and Gold were gifts given to baby Jesus from the wise men.  The ancient Egyptians used it for embalming of mummies.  Myrrh is usually used with other herbs and resins like frankincense and dragon's blood.  It is said to be used to break any hexes, curses or psychic attack.
